DirecTV sent me a new access card and when I turned on my receiver today there was a message about some problem.

So I tried to follow the instructions to change the access card and had no luck. However, the receiver started showing me my regularly programming so I avoided a frustrating call to customer service.

Then I got the bright idea to check out channel 101 which purports to have instructions on how to change the access card.

Well... guess what!?!?!?! As you see here, Channel 101 "Changing your Access Card" is a "channel not purchased". Now that is pretty slick making you purchase a channel for instructions on changing your access card!

DirecTV seems seriously intent on punishing their customers!
